Novartis is unique among pharmaceutical companies in the sense that it has separated science from marketing.
Ricardo Dolmetsch, Global Head of Neuroscience, NIBR
We are driven by rigorous science and unmet medical need, not the market. NIBR does great science. Working at NIBR gives you a very real chance of making a difference in patients' lives. This is something that most academics never really come close to.
Neuroscience has a long history at Novartis. We discovered: Ritalin® for ADHD, Clozaril® which is still the most effective antipsychotic and Gilenya® – the first oral treatment for Multiple Sclerosis. We are building our group in Cambridge, to be in one of the world`s top hubs for biomedical research.
NIBR in Cambridge:
Our Cambridge site is the NIBR global headquarters, but is also home to Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics and hosts associates from Pharma Development and the Novartis Venture Fund. More than 2,000 associates work at the Cambridge Campus and we are expanding our campus to support our growth.
NIBR Cambridge is located in the midst of multiple renowned academic research institutions and innovative biotech companies. The site is home to research in the areas of oncology, ophthalmology, neuroscience, and cardiovascular and metabolic related diseases.
